In the grounds of St. Maelruain's church is an ancient stone trough, or basin, once commonly called "Moll Rooney's Losset".[Irish 'Losad' - a kneading trough, figuratively a table spread with food. Also note Irish 'Last' - a large quantity or lot of anything, hence a lot of goods on display and 'Lossets'. (Dineen)]
